The RealDraft

Flexible coaching. No scheduling needed.

Your story. Still in your voice.

Async college essay coaching for students who want guidance, not a ghostwriter. You write every word. We help you find the ones that matter: in writing, on your time.

01 / The process

Deep coaching, without another calendar invite.

The work happens asynchronously: thoughtful written questions, voice-note follow-ups, precise comments in Google Docs, and short recorded walkthroughs you can replay whenever you need them.

01

Start with story mining

Story mining is how we find the story only you can tell: a deep written questionnaire uncovers experiences, values, contradictions, and turning points in the student’s own words.

02

Go deeper by voice note

Follow-up questions arrive as voice notes, so we can keep digging without coordinating a call. Students answer when they have room to think.

03

Build the spine, then draft

We shape a clear outline asynchronously. The student writes the rough thing; honest material comes before elegant sentences.

04

Revise in Google Docs

Suggestion-mode edits and margin comments show what’s vivid, what’s generic, what’s confusing, and what deserves more room.

05

Watch the walkthrough

A Loom walkthrough is a concise recorded video that talks through the draft and next steps. It arrives as a private link, with no app or account needed, and you can rewatch it anytime.

03 / Year-round support

Essay work doesn’t start in August and disappear in January.

Different months bring different deadlines. The same honest, student-led process works across the full admissions calendar.

August–January

Application season

Personal statements, supplemental essays, activity lists, and deadline plans for students applying now.

February–March

Scholarships & transfers

Focused coaching for scholarship essays and transfer applications with real spring deadlines.

April–July · opens in May

Summer Head Start

Rising seniors can mine their stories, choose a direction, and draft before senior year gets crowded.

The seasonal model

Six intense months of high-touch coaching are balanced by six months of summer preparation, scholarship and transfer work, free workshops for junior families, and useful SEO guides that build the fall pipeline.

Seasonal offer

Scholarship Sprint: February–March only

Scholarship essays aren't personal statements. A personal statement asks “who are you?” A scholarship essay asks “why should we fund you?” The answer is need, merit, and what you'll do with it. Most students write the first one, sprinkle in the word “grateful,” and wonder where the money went.

The Sprint covers 3–5 scholarship essays through the same async process: deep written questionnaire, voice-note follow-ups, feedback in Google Docs, and a short recorded walkthrough of every draft. You write every word. No calls to schedule.

$595 flat. Two-week turnaround per essay batch.

If the $950 Full Draft feels like a stretch, this is the way in: same coaching, smaller commitment.

04 / The approach

A coach in your corner. Your hands on the keyboard.

No ghostwriting. Full stop.

The strongest essay is not the one an adult could have written. It is the clearest, most specific version of the student’s own thinking.

Feedback you can revisit.

Specific Google Docs notes and recorded walkthroughs explain where attention drops, where language gets generic, and what a reader still needs to understand.

Purpose before performance.

The goal is not to sound impressive. It is to make choices, values, and growth legible to a reader who has never met you.

The honest promise

We can strengthen the essay. We cannot promise admission.

Admissions decisions belong to colleges and depend on far more than one essay. Any coach who guarantees an acceptance is selling something they do not control.

What we controlA clearer, more specific, more authentic essay, and a student who understands the choices behind it.
What we don’tAdmission, scholarships, waitlists, institutional priorities, or decisions by any college.
AuthorshipAll final writing remains the student’s own work. Coaching provides questions, structure, and feedback.
